1. Information Pocket Piggy stores

When you use Pocket Piggy, the app may store information you choose to enter or create inside the app, including:

• savings goals, goal names, categories, targets, saved amounts, dates, and notes;
• savings entries and their source, such as a challenge, a skipped purchase, or a “Piggy First” action;
• waiting-list items, their names, prices, decision status, and reminder timing;
• money buckets, challenge progress, no-spend days, check-ins, achievements, and progress history;
• your preferred name, currency choice, onboarding state, app settings, and generated insight history; and
• technical state needed to merge a newer local or iCloud snapshot, such as a schema version and update date.

Pocket Piggy does not ask you to create an account and does not require you to provide your real name, bank details, income, or account credentials.

2. Where your information lives

On your device by default

Pocket Piggy stores its app state on your Apple device using Apple’s local storage frameworks, including SwiftData and UserDefaults. Pocket Piggy’s current app code does not upload this information to a Pocket Piggy-operated server.

Optional iCloud sync

If iCloud is available and you use the optional iCloud bridge in Settings, Pocket Piggy copies a compact snapshot of app state to Apple’s iCloud key-value storage. This can help restore or merge your state across Apple devices signed in to the same iCloud account. Your snapshot can include the categories of app data listed in Section 1. Apple’s iCloud terms, security, and privacy practices also apply to data stored in iCloud; Pocket Piggy does not operate that infrastructure.

Local notifications

If you allow notifications, Pocket Piggy schedules reminder notifications locally through Apple’s notification framework. A waiting-list reminder may include the item name you entered. The app does not route that reminder through a Pocket Piggy notification server. You can disable notifications in iOS Settings.

3. On-device insights

On supported iOS versions and devices, Pocket Piggy may use Apple’s on-device Foundation Models / Apple Intelligence capability to generate a short, practical insight. The app provides the model with limited aggregate context from your Pocket Piggy state, such as goal count, total saved, progress, challenge activity, and whether a waiting-list item is ready to revisit. The current implementation is designed to process this insight on your device and does not send the prompt to a Pocket Piggy-operated server.

If the on-device model is unavailable or does not return a usable response, Pocket Piggy uses built-in offline rules instead. Pocket Piggy’s insights are general encouragement, not investment, lending, debt, tax, or other financial advice.

4. Information Pocket Piggy does not collect

In the current version, Pocket Piggy does not use or collect:

• bank-account credentials, transaction feeds, or payment-card numbers;
• advertising identifiers, precise location, contacts, photos, or microphone recordings;
• third-party advertising, behavioral tracking, or analytics SDK data;
• an account profile, password, or Pocket Piggy user ID; or
• financial information for the purpose of moving, holding, lending, or investing money.

Apple may process information required to provide its operating-system services, such as iCloud and notifications, under Apple’s own policies.

5. Your choices and deletion

• Use the app locally: you can keep iCloud unavailable or leave the optional sync setting unused.
• Turn off notifications: manage Pocket Piggy’s notification permission in iOS Settings.
• Reset Pocket Piggy: use the reset action in the app’s Settings screen to remove goals, savings, challenges, waiting-list items, check-ins, and related app state from the device and sync snapshot.
• Delete the app: removing Pocket Piggy from your device removes its local app data according to Apple’s normal device behavior. If you used iCloud, review your iCloud storage and device settings as well.

Pocket Piggy does not maintain a Pocket Piggy-operated account database from which we can retrieve or delete a profile.

6. Security

Pocket Piggy relies on Apple’s device security, local storage protections, and—if enabled—Apple’s iCloud security controls. No method of storage is guaranteed to be perfectly secure. Use a device passcode and keep iOS updated. Do not enter information into Pocket Piggy that you do not want stored on your device or in your optional iCloud snapshot.

7. Children’s privacy

Pocket Piggy is a general-audience savings habit app and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to a Pocket Piggy-operated service, contact us so we can review the request.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when Pocket Piggy’s features, storage behavior, or legal obligations change. We will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If a future version introduces a new kind of collection or a third-party service, the policy and the app’s disclosures should be updated before that feature is released.
